The cold snap of Christmas 2022 busted pipes in my well house and my coast flashlight came to the rescue...for about :15 minutes. New batteries and it would light up the dark...for about :15 minutes. Now, nothing. It might flash "on" for 1/2 a second, but now nothing. The G450 has been a great flashlight till now. Any suggestions on repairs?

Batteries that came with flashlight corroded

This flashlight was given to me as a gift and the batteries that came with it corroded very quickly after I received it. Very disappointed. The flashlight seems solid, but I would not recommend it

That specification is for the 455 , not the 450. you need to change it.

My COAST HP550 flashlight had an issue with the battery compartment. There was no way it could be used again after that. I absolutely loved that flashlight. After having it for about four years, I contacted COAST about it. Apparently it was an issue they were famiar with. They didn't hesitate to send me a replacement. They sent the G450. It is an awesome flashlight. Just as good as the HP550. And I am so pleased that they would honor my original purchase of their product after the amount of time I had it. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another COAST product in the future.

I use alot of flashlights both on the job and off but I have found that Coast lights tend to be the most financially reliable. I have relied on my H550 to get through many a tough call but now my G450 is even better with higher lumens and longer battery life I am impressed. I totally recomend these flashlights for what ever job your doing that needs a brighter touch.

This was a warranty replacement for my HP550. Since the HP550 is not working, I can't directly compare the two. However both my wife and I think the HP550 had a more concentrated beam so was useful at a greater distance. Also the HP 550 had a lanyard slot on the end cap which prevented the flashlight from rolling off of countertops etc. The G450 has already done that. The G450 is a good light and I appreciate the replacement, I just don't think it is the equal of the old HP550.

I had a previous version of this flashlight with a battery housing issue.
I not longer had the receipt, but with a quick contact and basic information to their customer support team, I was instantly shipped this new G450. I LOVE IT. It is incredibly bright, and their products are outstanding. I can't say enough about this issue - the hands-down best customer service experience I have ever had.
