Great Light, wrong order of colors!

Great Light, great size. You missed the boat in preserving my night vision, the white light comes on first and then switches to red...goodbye night vision. Think that would be common sense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A really useful light. Theyre a bit fragile tho this is my second the first had the switch cover fall off right away (made a new one from a bicycle inner tube) then the one of the angle knobs broke off. Still a positive buy since its unique.

Brilliant piece of kit. HX4 vs Peli VB3 comparison

Bought the HX4 for my duty tac-vest. having previously used a Peli VB3 for short range light and documents in the dark. The HX4 blows that out of the water. While its a little bigger than the VB3 its not impactive on its application, its casts a far better light and is more easily positioned the red light setting is also genius and great if you are filling in documents in a car at night while your colleague is driving. The big on/off button is good too, means you don't have to change your lighting angle to turn lights off as you do with VB3.
Only thing I will suggest is creating a variant that is Klickfast ready. Adding a Klickfast bracket to the existing crocodile clip does add significant depth (same as VB3). A Klickfast option (instead of the crocodile clip) would let the light sit more flush to uniforms.
