Used once for ushering for probably 5 minutes. Next time I tried to use it, it wouldn't work, even with new batteries. Packaging was so difficult to open, it's in little pieces. Going to try to return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My go-to flashlight.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I have the G20 flashlight in my pocket at all times. All times that I am awake, at least. Even before I worked in emergency services, I liked to keep a dependable flashlight with me. But finding a flashlight that checked all of the boxes was tough. This flashlight is it! Big enough to fit in my hand well, but small enough that I don't notice it in my pocket. Bright enough to be useful, but still has a very good battery life. And the price is right.
Something I am picky about with flashlights is the button or switch that operates it. For a flashlight that is going to be used a LOT, the button or switch has to be simple to use, durable, and it can't turn on accidentally. They got it right with the G20 - a single button on the tail cap with a simple on/off function. There is no cycling through functions. The light simply turns on every time you need it to. The rubber tail cap button is durable too. I have had other brands of flashlights where the rubber cap come off after time. But the button and rubber cap on the G20 hold up very well, even with a LOT of use.
Besides the batteries lasting a very long time, my favorite feature on this flashlight is the crisp "inspection beam." The light's color, intensity, and clarity are perfect for focusing on a specific task. Yet the beam is bright and focused enough that you can light your way in the woods at night, for example, with a small penlight.
The only improvement I would make to this flashlight is adding a rubber coated section maybe an inch down from the tail cap. This would allow the light to be held between the teeth comfortably for hands-free work.
I have bought more than one of these flashlights for myself, and a few as gifts. I recommend the G20 flashlight, and COAST flashlights in general.

I do love these little lights. The inspection light isn't very bright compared to the mini Maglite with LED that I also carry in the same jacket pocket, but it'll get the job done if I drop a wrench.
