If you're truly to rest your wrist on the gel pad the mouse ends up at the very top of the actual pad surface and there's very little room left for the mouse to move around.

I purchased the Staples gel mousepad and it really helps with my wireless mouse. My wrist is less fatigued and I always get responsive action from my mouse. Great accessory.

Gel is nice the rest is bad

The gel part is the best part of the pad. It's very comfortable. I wish the rest of the pad was as good. This pad has two faults. One is the sticky bottom. I have a plastic desk blotter and the two just glue themselves to each other. Worse in peeling it off to move it the pad started to separate from the base. The other flaw is the pad material. It's fine vertically. But when you drag horizonaly the mouse cursor jumps slightly in a jagged motion. If you need to do any precision work or play games this is a deal breaker.
