I was disappointed in how thin this mouse pad is. I purchased for one of our employees and he refused it. I found an older used one in the office he like much better.
As far as mouse pads go it's just that. It's an inexpensive basic black mouse pad that functions fine. However I had to leave it outside for 2 weeks because of the horrible off-gassing odor it had. It was so pungently acrid that it stunk up my whole office. I placed the pad on my desk on a Friday and when I returned on Monday my office STUNK bad! It was so bad that even after I took the pad outside the wood keyboard shelf it had been sitting on continued to smell for 48 hours even after multiple cleanings. So two weeks later it's usable but it still smells a little just not as overpowering. I would say at this point it's usable but I'm going to buy a different one. Something that off gasses this bad should not even be sold as far as I'm concerned.
When I'm concentrating I don't want a cute puppy or a goofy ad or a calendar or a zzzz design to distract me. I don't want a little tiny pad that the mouse keeps slipping off of. I want a simple clean clear thick non-slippable cushy surface to glide my mouse across! This one does it... it holds up to being shoved in my suitcase for travel doesn't compete with my desk décor has a lot of room for sliding around. Solid stable sturdy sumptuous simple black -- every girl needs a little black mousepad!
I actually never thought I would use a mouse pad as I just used the desk/tabletop to move my mouse around. This pad makes it easier to use and especially my habit of having the mouse travel across the desk/tabletop. Now it remains in place and has stopped a bad habit that I had while using a mouse.
