This mouse pad used to have some substance (thickness) to it. This is adequate but I probably would look for something else next time I need a mouse pad.

A mouse is as good as its mousepad!

Normally if without it you wear out the desktop top surface. that is NO GOOD! But the mouse pad must be securely fastened to the desktop as so it dies not slide around with the mouse. Hence there are two ways to fasten it it is up to the user as to HOW? 1. 3-inch box tape; 2. A pair of small 'C' clamps. The latter does not mar the vineer desktop!
