Was really hoping for a separate wrist rest and mouse pad but that didn't have these "basics" in the store so I was forced to buy the combo unit. It's alright I guess.

The wrist rest is too stiff and hard for me. I returned this item. Instead I purchased a separate wrist pad (like a bean bag) which is more pliable and which I can shake up and refresh before each use for greater flexibility.
