It turns out to be in an awkward position for my hand at my desk. The slope at the upper end of the hand rest takes area away from the space needed to maneuver the mouse. I'm sorry I bought this. Your hand size may make a difference (mine is pretty big)..

The wrist pad on this item is far too thick and way too stiff. There is no softness to the pad which make it uncomfortable and I found it impossible to use. I would definitely avoid as it is useless.
