I found this to be terribly uncomfortable. The cushion is hard and my wrist hurt. I stopped using it right away and switched back to my old flat mousepad that came as a marketing material. Still feels better than this one.

I must have bought the more expensive one last time as I like it a whole lot better. I needed a second one for an off-site work location. I do like this one but it is definitely harder than the more expensive one. I have had the other one for a good 5+ years and it is still awesome. If the price is a few dollars different I would buy the more expensive one.
