The mountain scene is as shown online - very pretty. The cover fabric is slippery and smooth - will work well with mouse. The non-slip backing will keep the pad from moving when being used. Good product for the price.

I chose this mouse pad because it reminds me of Mount Rainier in Washington State where I used to live. It is not only beautiful but functional as well.
