I had to return this item as it was bad for the mouse and didn't allow it to work at all. Later on I was informed that a plain mat preferably black is preferred.

This mouse pad works vey well with my optical mouse. I really notice the difference with this pad and the one it replaced. The mouse glides perfectly over its surface. As a bonus the image on the pad is from one of my favorite foreign countries in the world.

A comfortable pad and works well with my new black Staples Mouse. The landscape with so many houses on the hill is colorful yet distracting so I turned it sideways seeing mostly the sky and water. My keyboard covers the low part of the hillside because my roll-out table is not wide enough for the whole square. With my hand on the mouse the buildings on the top of the hill are mostly covered and not distracting. It's fine thanks!!
