Helped bring order to out a chaotic filing system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am new to labeling and used this to organize an office filing system. This appears to have the best of the best features among labelers. It is priced nicely and will hold up long term to use for large or small labeling jobs. It made my task easier and was easy to operate and was not time consuming. It was helpful that it is rechargeable, handheld and portable so I could move around to different areas of the building and label files before moving them. This labeler is lightweight, very simple to operate and I like that it has a large display screen and good quality key pad. To get a label you select the font size, type your label line, hit the print button and the label comes out of the top and you push the button on the side to cut it off cleanly. Pretty easy and the labels are easy to read and look great.
It has some memory to remember text you use frequently so you don’t have to retype over and over. The labeler comes with a USB cable and can be connected to a computer to make labels with custom fonts and graphics. Now the filing system is organized, neat, uniform and much easier to access and keep in order.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great, easy to use and be creative and of course organized. Loved how the letter size is so easy to change from small, medium to large and extra large. the ability to attach it to your computer for more options makes this an amazing tool for both work and home uses. the variety of lettering styles is fun and makes any project look good. This product is very useful a great tool for both home and office with numerous usages.

Very Disappointed

I just opened my Dymo label maker and it will not print. I've charged it and tried to print a test and it says there is a jam and to remove the cartridge. There is no jam, i've tried several times to "clear" said jam and nothing works. I replaced the cartridge and it still says there is a jam. I've searched for trouble shooting and nothing comes up. This is very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To resolve the issue, please power cycle the printer by removing the batteries, power adapter if available, and tape, then press the power button 15 times. After that, re-insert the batteries and tape, then reset the printer to its factory settings by pressing these two buttons simultaneously at the same time (9+On/Off). If the steps do not work, please clean the print roller and printhead using a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol. Furthermore, increase the strobe level of the device by simultaneously pressing (8+On/Off) and using the forward arrow key to increase the strobe to level 8.

Great label maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dymo label maker is well built with a nice keypad. The labels are easy to load and print out evenly. There is less waste from other brands I've used as well. You can use the included cable to connect to a laptop or other computer which opens up a new level of possibilities. I'm glad I gave this one a try.

Average quality low resolution prints

The software shows everything in really crisp resolution. But prints look like they are 100dpi or less. I think the product features are exaggerated.. The software could show a more realistic preview.
I would not recommend any advanced version based on the experience with the software. It does not accomplish much more than what the cheaper Dymo models do.
The resolution is much lower than what I have expected for a product today. Maybe 20 years ago this resolution would have been awesome, but today it just looks like an old product facelifted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would like to inform you that the print resolution for this model is 180 dpi. If the print quality is not satisfactory, you can increase the strobe by pressing the following key combination simultaneously: Backspace + 8 + On/Off Button.

Battery doesn’t last.

Bought at the beginning of 2004, worked great. Battery can’t hold a charge keeps stating it needs to be charged over and over again

Perfect for Organization

This label maker is easy to operate, and comes with everything needed to get things going. It was easy to load, and easy to operate. Instructions were easy to understand, but I didn't really need them, it was pretty much self explanatory.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had known about DYMO label manager 280 earlier! This is one good tool to stay organized in office as well as home. At first, I was skeptical that it would be tricky to use. But, it proved me wrong. It is a very convenient and easy to use label manager.
I liked the big LCD display, which makes it easier to see the words while typing. The computer style keyboard helps in fast and easy typing. I was able to delete or add the text without any issues.
I love that, I can choose from 6 font sizes and 7 text styles to design the label I want. Moreover, there are symbols and other things that can be added too. How cool is that!!
I also liked the flexiblity of selecting the width of label that I need. After printing, the label is cut off with a press of side button.The label comes off easily and ready to use. Furthermore, It comes with rechargable batteries, so, no need to buy the batteries again and again.
