Want to use it for inventory labels

Seems to be very good, but does not use old TZ tapes (different discussion). Not enough info, data, specs, guides, how-to-do on interfacing with PC application software, like MS Access database. Loading a different tape is awkward in that side cover entails picking up the PT-700 and not a simple open-door-replace-tape procedure.

I'm very satisfied with all this can do, with one exception. There is a lot of trim waste. I've tried all available settings, but so far have not found a way to reduce the waste that's trimmed off at the start of each label. If there is a way to.stop this, then perhaps the instructions could be improved to give clear guidance. But other then this, it's a great little label maker!

This is an awesome little desktop printer! I use it mainly for producing barcodes for my office & customers. For this, it's really tough to beat. Combined with the software you can produce enterprise-quality labeling solutions on a small business budget!

It works great. The software makes it easier than the stand alone versions. The only negatives thus far are: 1. Constant software updates, 2. wastes tape at the lead edge.

A great improvement over the stand-alone models

Though I bought it for myself, I used it recently to create custom labels while on the road for my company. I love the flexibility incurred through being able to connect it to my PC and save each label. A real time saver!

Nice product

I like the fact it does labels up to 1" wide and the software version is much better than the old version I had for an earlier PC compatible Brother Printer.

Printer is Great. Software is Good.

I've been using this printer for about 6 months. Mechanically it has worked flawless; no jams or misfeeds, and the print quality is great. I only print black on white text, so I can't comment on graphics or resolution.
As several others have mentioned, the software is not exactly intuitive. All the bells and whistles are there; different fonts, text sizes, auto spacing, sideways printing. There are all most too many options, and they are not always easy to find. My biggest problem is the overly long feed on many of the labels. At one point I went to continuous mode, which saved tape, then the printer reset itself. I have no idea what happened, and I'm still looking for the way to get consecutive labels to print without adding 1.5 inches of tape to each end, otherwise, I would rate it as 5 stars.
