A brilliant successor to the old P-touch

I have owned a Brother P-touch label printer for many years. The machine has given impeccable service and is my go-to device.
Recently I bought myself a new P-touch Cube Plus. Not because there was anything wrong with the old one, but for my son's residence.
Being able to compose labels on my phone is a huge plus. The keyboard on the old device is limited. While I mastered it over the years, the convenience of using my phone is head and shoulders above.
Removing the backing to expose the adhesive is better in the new system. Instead of needing to fumble with the edge of the tape, just bending it along its length is much easier and nicer.
One oddity that I do not understand is why, when printing a label, the machine cuts off a blank piece of label material about 1/2 inch long. That seems unnecessary and wasteful to me.
And the UI for composing labels on my phone could use some improvement. It is a trifle clunky to my taste.

Nice, but…..

Once I figured things out, the labels come out nicely, BUT; I would have liked a lot more information in your directions especially for the software program. In my opinion, it would be useful if you could tie in the cube to Microsoft Word.

Love the different size labels you can use. Love the different fonts, love the size fonts you can choose. Love the graphics also. Love everything about this little printer

A surprisingly good printer

I bought this printer after my coworkers lost the power cord to my old p700 printer. I chose this one because it just uses a usb micro. I was surprised by how well the new one works. And how long it holds a charge.

Good quality labels. I wish it didn't "waste" tape, that pictures would take up less space, that it was easier to understand how to work the different print options (maybe instructional video).

Good, Compact, Useful, Connectable label printer

Have been using Brother Cube Plus label printer for a few weeks now. Its for personal use, so doesn't get real heavy use. I have a couple other Brother Label printers, but the P-Touch is not PC connectable and can't use as wide a label (but handy), and one connects to PC but narrow labels. This one includes near 1 inch labels which I also use for address labels, and connects to PC and Phone and can use a spreadsheet for the data source - things I was looking for. If I had some wish list options though they are - #1 - allow connect to PC using Bluetooth (it seems to only use USB connect to PC), #2 - When using a spreadsheet, allow row/record selections based on data in other columns in the spreadsheet. I have a spreadsheet of recipient addresses, and other columns that identifies times of the year I'd like to print them as part of a group - Christmas, Thanksgiving, Birthday, misc. I'd like to be able to just tell the software to print labels for people with a Y in the Christmas group, but it's not setup to work like that - one method you have to go thru the rows and highlight/select each row manually. Same issue if you're a small business and just wanted to print all that were in a certain group. Maybe someone will add that to a new release of the software. Also, the software is pretty easy, but still seems like it could be a little more straight-forward.

Not able to load driver

Not able to load driver. have given up after trying 3 different days I am going to toss this out, its a shame to toss out my stock of tapes with it but i am done.
