Unboxing for Kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loved the idea of opening the mystery box… she love barbie already so this was a nice addition to her collection of barbie items… the accessories are well made and the details are stunning. I would definitely buy to gift to girls who like barbie.

Would make a great birthday party gift!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this would be a perfect birthday gift for a Barbie fan just because of the pretty packaging alone! No real need to add gift wrap and it’s even topped with a cleverly crafted cardboard bow!
My granddaughter loved the packaging so much that we ignored using the perforated tear strips to open it and instead carefully cut the transparent tape that was holding it all together so she could reuse the boxes. She even fashioned the boxes and glittery cardboard insert into a store playset for the doll.
The doll comes dressed as if having a spa day with her head wearing a plastic turban over her hair, a facial mask covering her face and a terrycloth towel that reverses into a glitzy party dress. Her face is adorable and sprinkled with realistic freckles! Her two tone hair is nice quality that doesn’t easily tangle and her curvy body is jointed at the knees and elbows that isn’t as common to find in most Barbies.
My granddaughter did not want to open up the faux lipstick to remove the pet kitten from the gel thing inside so didn’t push her. She liked seeing the kitten through the plastic cover as it came.
The set comes with a sturdy storage box that holds can be used to store all the little accessories that come in the smaller boxes with the exception of the plastic turban and lipstick.
The lavender stole, earrings, ‘silver’ earrings, necklace and purse all coordinate nicely with the outfit.
My granddaughter loved the color change feature of the lips from pale to bright pink and the streaks in the hair from pink to purple. I had her use an ice cube instead of water as it’s not as messy as water.
Overall, she’s very pleased with this set and it kept her busy for almost an hour! It would have been beyond perfect if it would have included a doll stand and a hair brush!

Fashionable and Fun

She especially loved taking apart the lipstick to get to the kitten encased in gel. She told me this is one of her favorite Barbies and she has quite the collection.

Such a fun experience opening!

We had fun rubbing an ice cube on the Barbie's hair then warm water, watching the hair change colors. The instructions weren't the clearest, but we figured it out easily. She really liked getting the figurine out of the "lipstick" gel and opening up the "makeup" for the rest of the accessories. It was a fun time!

Barbie with beautiful body

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought the barbie party unboxed for something for my granddaughter to play with when going to visit my sister. She loved all the different boxes to open. Shes a cat lover and was so excited to see the cat in the gel. The cat is kind of small. She misplaced it a few times but we were able to find it. It was a little messy to dig out but she loved it. The spa package is really cute and love that you can switch her outfit. I love that the barbie has an average body with thick thighs instead of a itty bitty skinny barbie. Her hair is very cool with the stripes of color. We couldnt seem to get the color to change. Some of the directions were hard to follow. It disnt have the same parts that were pictured. Overall my granddaughter loved it!

Party Spa Unboxed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter absolutely loved opening each box and bag. I think it was the element of surprise that made it so exciting for her. The first thing she noticed about this Barbie was that she has a different body shape, as she put it. It’s not that she dislikes the difference, but she finds it hard to dress the doll using the clothes she already owns, since they don’t fit well. There also aren’t many aftermarket clothing options available for this body type, which makes it less fun for her. Because of that, this isn’t her favorite type of Barbie. One of the first things she wanted to try was the color-changing streak in the doll’s hair, which she really enjoyed. She also liked that the lipstick turned into a bed for the pet. However, the gel inside the lipstick grossed her out, so she asked me to remove it. I think if it was a scented slime, she would’ve loved it. One thing she might not use at all is the head wrap. She says it’s just not realistic enough and doesn’t like it being plastic. Overall, I think she enjoyed the experience with this Barbie line enough that she wanted to get another one. She bought the cake version from the Party Unboxed pet Birthday series.
