Weird theme makes no sense. I'd pass on this doll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rating came straight from my 8 year old daughter. This Barbie makes no sense. It is called "Barbie Party Unboxed" and it comes with a makeup and spa theme inside and a random cat in goopy hard slime inside a lipstick jar. Weird. She said this should have been sand, not a stale jello shot. The Barbie has bendable knees and elbows, but this makes her hands only work at very awkward angles. Huge miss in actual practical play, although she does stand independently. No idea why there is a heavy makeup theme or why her thick towel becomes a reversible dress. This is weird and feels like a complete "Cinderella" miss. The spa face mask and towel hair wrap are fun accessories, but please stop with the weird colored hair and unusable, impractical moving joints on these dolls. My daughter did the entire thing and said, "this should not be a thing!" It also comes with only basic, boring gray earrings, huge necklace, a purse and purple heels. (We got the African American doll. Her skin tone matches the front orld the box but is lighter than the internal photos or included paper instructions. This box is marked 3+ for the age and this Barbie seems more geared to teenage girls not even just a pre-teen. Also as a warning to African American users, the skin tone on the African doll is very light, she looks more Hispanic. My daughter loves dolls of all colors, but this should be noted. My daughter was upset that the Barbie has a blue dress, purple shoes and gray necklace, earrings and purse. Accessories should match people! It is not noted if these are color-changing in the directions. This whole experience was weird. Mattel, please hire unbiased parents and kids to test these toys before you make them. This is the 2nd reveal doll that was weird and not fun. The only plus is the doll stands unaided, which is an improvement from the last Unboxed doll, and she is pretty, but so do are all the other Barbies dolls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ready to party with Barbie!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old twin girls loved opening the Barbie party unboxed doll! Opening presents for Barbie was so much fun! She came with adorable accessories and a fun little pet.We loved getting Barbie ready for a party! The face mask was so cute and we really loved pulling the little kitten out of the gel, so fun!! Would definitely recommend!!

Lots of surprises

She proceeded to give her Barbie a day at the spa with the mask and hair towel. It also came with earrings, a necklace, shoes, a cat, a cat bench/bed, and a skirt.

Keeping kids attracted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new hype right now is these mystery toys and this Barbie toy definitely blew it out of the park making everything a mystery. My daughter enjoyed unboxing and seeing what was behind each box. The quality of a is top notch, being able to move each joint and having different types of clothing. It was a nice touch having the lipstick as well.

Expectations not met

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high expectations for this toy. My daughter loves Barbies and loves blind box-style toys, so I thought this would be a home run. It was far from it. I assumed it was straight forward of opening the boxes as you pleased, but some of the boxes were confusing, especially the eye shadow compact box. This product and the items you receive with it do not live up to the price point of the toy. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So many fun accessories

A surprise in a box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving the unbixed Barbie it was a pleasant surprise not knowing which doll you would get. Barbie came out beautifully suntanned. Her hair was long enough for her to style it up or down. Barbie had bendable legs for easy fun and doll positioning. The doll was placed on a chair to sit under her doll table and camper. Barbie is a great doll to use in a tun or pool. She a great summer doll to play with.

Overall, a good doll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doll was engaging to my niece. She liked the packaging looking like gifts as well as having interactive ways of getting to the accessories. She was a big fan of the kitten in the lipstick, but did not like how the stick left a residue on her hands. The clothing was somewhat ill-fitting.
