I bought this radio to listen to am news stations and music on fm. It does both very well and I am able to pick up a low power fm station (20 watts) 30 miles away . You really cant go wrong with this radio it is definitely worth the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The on/off switch had better been incorporated in the volume control. As it is, it is a bit awkward to move the little slide-switch to either the AM or FM position in order to turn the radio on.
As far as design is concerned, it would have been more practical to have a third button as an AM/FM switch. There is ample space for it in line with the volume and tuning buttons.
