Excellent radio!I

I have had many radio 's in my 73 years on planet Earth. This SONY ICF-506 has the best reception especially on AM . I can receive many US stations late at night at my camp! FM has great sound as well. Highly recommended!

Clear Sound & Lightweight

Bought this for my 86 year old mom & she LOVES it! She is able to catch many of her stations, including ones coming out of Buffalo, even without the antenna being raised. It is light enough for her to move from room to room, and has the flexibility to use batteries if not close to an electrical outlet.
Only gave 4 stars because the display for the stations is difficult to decipher what station you are on - ideally a digital display would have been great.

Great little radio

This radio has a great sound, it picks up the radio signals with ease even its far from windows. I like how it can be portable with batteries or plugged in through an outlet. I highly recommend this radio for anyone who wants a kitchen radio or bring it out on picnics, etc.

I wanted a simple am/fm radio with a good sound. This radio fits the bill perfectly.
The sound is excellent and clear. It pulls in many fm stations even without the antenna extended.
Nothing fancy, just a quality radio.

It’s a perfect radio to get away from your phones and just enjoy some local channels with your family. It really is good quality for the price.

Long term review

I want to do a long term review(2 yr & 6 mth later) bought this for my retired parents. Batt life is good, it takes 3 D size batt. Dial not working after 2 yrs. I just bought them a new one (same one) so hopefully it’ll be good for another 2 to 3 yrs and i can use the old one for parts.
I would recommend this to a friend!
