left lacking in design and Matter control

lacks lighting controls from Smartthings app. you only get on/off, one solid color to select and dim. also the light is so big and awkward in size for an outdoor sconce replacement, that there doesnt exist a wall plate that this can mount on that looks correct. due to the attachment bracket that comes in the box, you can only mount the light from the top of its backplate.... the included bracket only connects at the top, making for a properly centered fixture on any "mounting block" impossible. This could have been noticed in design, and a center attachment point for this Wall Light would have been possible. If you have slatted vinyl siding, you will need a wall plate, or probably have one already, this will hang off the bottom of the square shaped mounting block. its almost as if the design team didnt even research American vinyl siding standards. in my case, i have old 8 inch aluminum siding slats, and such a wall plate does not exist for this 5 inch by 10 inch Govee Wall Light. the only scenario it looks good is will 12 inch slats or flat walls. Being forced to use the Govee app, instead of my Zwave controllers like my light switches and sensors to achieve full functionality is a shame.

Deceptive Advertising - Electrician Required for Installation

I ordered this and I'm sure it's a good product, but the instructions in the box say it should be installed by a licensed electrician. It is very deceptive for Govee not to state this prominently in the on-line product description.

Love the lights. Ordered more but…

Getting them recognized by the app was a bit of a challenge. Apparently the app needs location enabled but that step (to me) was not clearly stated in the manual. Once I did that everything worked. Not sure why a light on the back of my house needs location services on but apparently it does.

The lights I ordered were smaller and poorer quality than expected. The return set up is purposely difficult. I guess they have to go via freight forwarding company back to China where they should have stayed.

Not what I imagined

The lights were easy to install, however, when motion is activated, the lights stay on and go back to default color. Then the lights never return to the other color or shut off light other motion detection lights. I was going to send the lights back but then I had to pay for shipping.

Very disappointed

Not thrilled with these lights. I have this for 3 days. I bought as a Black Friday deal and they are not that great for the price. The reviews were positive and convinced me it was a great product. The timer doesn’t work. The look is ok, not what I expected with the colors. The Goover app is very difficult to use, not intuitive at all. The size is also not so big to place on the garage frames. Also, the need for calking around the fixture makes it not practical at all. I don not recommend this product.
