We frequently use the Starimaster 4400cl when working out at the gym. We were looking for a portable affordable replacement when the gym closed due to covid. This stepper is easy to install (need lubrication for handle pads), and the stepping motion is very similar to a regular stepper and get a good cardio workout. The clylinders lose a bit of resistance after 15 minutes but my wife does not have to change her resistance after 20 min. I am 6'3' and weigh 225lbs and I have to increase resistance twice for a 20 minute workout. But once you figure this out you should be good to go. This has given us a good cardio replacement for the stairmaster we usually use, and is portable enough (foldable, weighs about 45lbs) to take with us on an extended road vacation.

I purchased this stepper in April 2013. Use it for 1 out of 4 workouts every week (stairmaster, ashtanga yoga, barbells/kettlebells/weights, spinning). It is now 2021 and I still use the same stepper for 45-50 minutes every week - without fail - almost 8 years later.
It’s not fancy. In fact, it’s kinda ugly. But it sure is the Old Faithful of home workout machines and it will probably live in my home gym long after my Peloton and Olympic bench becomes a hand-me-down to my kids.

I bought this Stepper about 6 weeks ago. I chose this as my go-to exercise equipment because I had had great success with a different model several years ago, however, it didn't have handle bars and I would routinely fall off and injure my foot. NONE of that with the Stamina SpaceMate Folding Stepper! I'm losing weight, getting toned and feeling so much better with this low-impact, highly effective work out and it's easy to store and get out daily for use.
