I like this Mower. It is lightweight. I do not have to use the gas and pollute the environment. I just charge it and I am good to go. This is my first electric mower and I like it. I don't think I will buy another gas Mower again.

5 stars you ask? I'm still using it! I learned about the MJ401C-XR a few years ago and got excited, being a gear head I already knew that a Brushless motor produces more power and draws less at the same voltage. they updated the battery to 5Ah. my unit would make it through mowing Front and Back yards on a single charge unless I Iet the grass grow to long. my friends with 18-40v mowers have mentioned how their mowers bogg down in the thick grass, mine kicks up to a higher speed. the MJ401C was sold as a mower/mulcher, I use it to vacuum the leaves as it compresses the leaves down to one bag, raking filled 6 bags. this Xmas I'm upgrading to the MJ401C-XR as my grass has grown thicker, trees are much larger and I don't see any other product that performs as well at a great price in the 13-16" range!

Junk Battery

This little mower was just fine. It did what I needed it to do. But then, the battery wore out. I took the battery out to replace it with a new one, however, was informed by Sun Joe customer service that this particular battery is not replaceable. So now I am stuck with a useless mower....... It will go in the landfill and I will NOT get another Sun Joe product. What a waste!

absolutely love this lawn mower I've had this for 5 years and it's still running good. I'm a single mom home owner and can't afford someone to take care of my lawn so it's just me and this has been a lifesaver. :)

Great Mower - Lasted 4 Summers

I have a very small yard and this was perfect. It lasted about 4 summers before it stopped turning on. For the price, I think think it was definitely worth it.

Love using my MJ401C 14" mower!

This is my second sunjoe 14inch cordless lithium battery mower. I'm very pleased with this mower. My fist one, only a year ago, probably works great yet the envy has caused the handle to be sliced, the black screws for the extension handle to be stolen, and the washer under the mower blade to disappear [too]. I have a small winding lot to mow, and neighborhood rules that call for cut grass to be collected via the mower bag---so this model is perfect. for an Old Lady.

Mower's height setting isn't high enough.

1) HEIGHT. I've always mow at the highest setting. I think the mower cuts too short, even at its highest setting. After mowing my lawn looked terrible. Brown stripes. First time I mowed I thought my grass might be to tall. I've mowed three times and still brown stripe. I take pride in my lawn. People are always complimenting me. I hate to have the expense of buying a new mower, but, I'm going to have to. Hopefully I will be able to sell this one.

Just got the mower and charged it for 6 hours. The mower starts off at a low rpm speed than suddenly it speeds up to about double the rpms. Is there a setting or some place to set the rpms
