Awesome mower

First off, I want to say this mower works great. Battery lasts long enough to mow my entire lawn. It does an amazing job. The only issue I have with this machine is the adjustable height. With it set at the highest level, it cuts my lawn way too short. My lawn gets a lot of sun, so I'm worried about damage. With larger diameter wheels, this issue would be resolved.

The 14 inch model is perfect for my small yard ,3,000 sq ft. Except for sharpening, and cleaning almost no maintenance is required. It is light, easy to maneuver, requires no gasoline, oil, air filter, pull rope and makes very little noise. Just insert the safety key and it is ready to go. There are a some operating differences to be learned: (1) the cutting height is not easily changed; (2) in deep or thick grass the mower automatically shifts to a faster cutting speed,: 3) the grass chute tends to clog at normal speed with either the rear bag or the optional deflector installed, at high speed this does not occur; (4) battery recharge requires four hours but there is no overcharge prevention, so do not "plug it in and forget it"; (5) find a dealer

Easy to use

Lightweight and easy to use. My lawn is not smooth but level and height adjustment changes over bumps and have to keep adjusting it. Also have had trouble charging battery but by wiggleing and messing with mower plugin it gets going. Not sure if the battery is replaceable when it reaches end of life. My corded SunJoe mower was perfect but I got tired of lugging the cord around obstacles in my yard.

Six years in and still say it’s still perfect!

Greatest little mower! Have had it for six years and not one problem. I have a small backyard so the size is perfect. It is easy for my wife to use. I mow the lawn three or four times before it needs recharging.

Glad I switched to this cordless mower!

I am so glad I purchased this mower. I was a bit nervous the first time I mowed my lawn. It has a hill in front and two hills in back with terraced steps. So it was a pain to lug the gas mower I owned up the 3 flights of steps. I can lift the Sun Joe with one hand! Amazing!
The Sun Joe turns on and off so easily (the push of a button to turn it on). No more pulling a rope and priming an engine with my old gas mower, just press the button and you're off to the races).
My lawn took a little longer to mow since this mower is 14-inch, but I don't mind the extra time (it's more exercise) and the battery got me almost through the entire lawn. Better than I expected! It recharged in a few hours and I was ready to finish the job.
The Sun Joe cut a nice clean lawn, even crisper looking than my old gas mower. And a few fallen twigs and small branches which I forgot to pick up were no match for this mower. It chopped them up nicely.
One nice feature about this mower which I was not aware of ... when you first turn it on it's in a low setting (very quiet) which is great for most grass, but when you hit a taller patch of grass it automatically switches to the higher setting to handle the higher grass! Ingenious! I'm assuming this helps the battery to last longer, so when I get back out of a “jungle patch” of grass, I switch it back to the low setting to save on battery (which is done by stopping the mower and starting it back up, which is just the push of a button).

It's a keeper

We ordered our cordless SunJoe mower about a week ago and my son and I were very pleased with its cutting performance. We've always used gas mowers so we were very apprehensive to how the sun joe would perform. We live in Michigan and the weather this past week started out scorching hot, followed by rain, then cooler temps with scattered rain showers. As a result, the grass had plenty of time to grow and we waited a couple of days for the grass to dry. The SunJoe worked great on our lawn and never died from the grass being too high. We did have to recharge the battery again for 4 hours to finish our entire lawn. I believe it did use up more energy to do the job b/c the grass was tall. We also had to empty the bag many times b/c of the grass' height but that's expected. It did leave a lot of grass clippings on the sidewalk so we had some sweeping (old school method) to do. But there was no awful gas smell, super lightweight, and it's much better for our world. I recommend this for homes with smaller lawns.
The photo shows my neighbor's lawn against ours which was mowed by the SunJoe earlier today and our grass was a bit taller than theirs.
