We have a 1950's era GE double oven with lots of chrome, so the silver metallic pad we ordered looks pretty sharp on it. Works great, too.

My parents have used these mats for years and when we got our new place, I knew I wanted to follow suit and get some! They are super convenient as a hot pad but even more so as a prep surface that I can easily clean by wiping off over a sink or tapping crumbs off. Protects the countertops and makes cleaning faster. Especially handy when setting cookie sheets down out of the oven or pans/pots off a hot stove as I don't have to get trivets out. Price is good, too. Very happy with these.

Did not expect rubber padding on bottom (I am latex sensitive). Having difficulty getting glue from label off of metal layer.

I actually think the item itself is great! The packaging however is very bad and the sticker left glue residue on all three items I purchased. For this reason alone I will not purchase any others.

I got two of this counter protectors about 15 years ago which had a paper backing. They have held very well with some scratches and discolored areas. I needed another one and so ordered it and this time it had a plastic backing which is an improvement. They have been very useful.

This is the second one I have used and they last for years. Leave on counter beside my sink for pots and pans and to protect my counter.
