I bought this mouse because it appeared to be a direct replacement for the mouse that came with my HP Spectre laptop. It did not perform smoothly from the beginning. Thinking that it might be "settings", I kept adjusting options for a month or so. The main difficulty was the scroll wheel. It would jump a page at a time. I finally gave up, accepted my loss and purchased a different mouse. Now, all is well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although I have enjoyed using this mouse, I have found that the battery dies way too quickly. I admit that I use it often, but it dies too quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has been using the HP 710 Rechargeable Silent Mouse without complaints. She is a gamer and it seems to be working ok for her needs. She takes care of charging it as well as her headphones.
Cons: More RAM
Pros: Affordable, Lightweight
