plastic internals need upgrading
on August 24, 2023
Posted by: Cbeehler
I pushed the cartridge eject button and the rear cartridge retaining clip didn't disengage and literally got ripped off it's little plastic anchor somewhere inside. I was able to fish it out but the labeler is junk now since tape cartridges won't stay in. Going to call for a warranty replacement since my previous 5200 lasted a good 8 years and this was probably a fluke....

Cartrigde holder broken
on July 19, 2024

Overall performance is good. But it makes a lot waste during cutting labels. As a result our team needs scissors to cut blank parts of the labels. Also after 3 months of use internal plastic part that holds cartridge has broken. the only workaound is to put something tht can press the cartridge to the printer body.

I've had this for years and it still works great!

I've used this for almost everything it does. I've never connected it to a computer, but it's always done exactly what I needed. The heatshrink tubing printing feature is nice as well. It's held up great over the years. The case is very rugged and worth it for sure.

A Professional Look Every Time
on April 2, 2023

I can do more with this label maker than I’ve ever been able to do before.
As soon as I got it I hooked it up to my Windows laptop, and was able to just type what I wanted and then print it right then.
It takes a little learning of the UI to get it down, but once you do the versatility is wonderful.
I can now label Ethernet cables, patch panels, coax runs, etc. in a professional manner, and labeling (or heat-shrinking a cable ID before putting a termination on it) looks properly sorted.
Kinda pricey but buy once, cry once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not good

We had a DYMO XTL300 it worked great printed good, but the door sensor broke DYMO didn't make that model anymore and sent us the 6000+. It is not a plus I give it a minus. The print out for the laminated cable wrap is not very clear and it will not print three lines. The XTL300 had individual stickers for the wire wrap which is very nice. The 6000+ cuts each label or you have to. This is a mess when you have a lot of cables to label.

Hi.
Thank you for contacting us and sharing your honest feedback, which is valuable to us and would help us provide excellent products and services.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
The Rhino 6000+ and XTL 300 printers are industrial printers, although they use different tape cartridges. The Self-laminating Cable Wrap tape (SKU 1734821) is 24mm wide, however it can only hold two lines of text and only in extra-extra-small, extra-small, and small font sizes.
If you are still having issues (If you have more questions or feedback), please reach out to us via our website or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time.

Machine is Junk
on July 24, 2024

from Corona, ca
I bought this a year ago used it 4 time and now doesn't work. 1: don't hold tape/cartridge. 2: doesn't detect the tape/cartridge. Over all the machine is good and easy to use, and prints clear and clean.

Hi. Thank you for contacting us and sharing your feedback with us.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your device.
To properly resolve tape insertion issues, gently lift the tape cassette door located at the back of the printer. Make sure that the tape and ribbon are taut across the mouth of the cassette and that the tape passes between the guides. If needed, turn the ribbon rewind spool clockwise to tighten the ribbon. Next, insert the cassette with the tape and ribbon positioned between the guide posts. Gently press on the cassette until it moves into place, as the insertion mechanism will guide the cassette into position. Finally, close the tape cassette door.
In addition, please visit help.dymo.com > Rhino printer > How to Resolve Tape Stall Error. Additionally, there is a video on How to Clean the Rhino Printer.
If you are still having issues (If you have more questions or feedback), please reach out to us via our website or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time.

Meh, for some reason 12mm/19mm tapes do not quite stay in place in ths model, especially 3rd party labels. Model 5200 works so much better.

I pressed the cartridge eject button and the rear cartridge retaining clip wouldn't unhook and literally ripped off its little plastic anchor somewhere inside. I was able to fish it out, but the labeler now I can't use it and it's new since the tape cartridges don't stay.
I need you to give me a replacement warranty, as it was not dropped or misused, it is a manufacturer's mistake
