I love my new Maker 4! It is SOOO much faster than my old Explore! I love the bluetooth connectivity as well.

Easy To Use As a Beginner

I unpacked my Cricut Maker 4 a week ago and started with iron ons for Christmas shirts. So far, appears to be easy to understand directions and follow process!

I bought my maker 4 earlier this year and I have used it a few times. Recently it has been sitting unplugged and when I tried using it the buttons act if they are not responding.

Incompatible with certain windows chips.

When I followed the instructions to set it up using the USB on my Windows computer, it just stopped at the load materials step, without a way to go back to a previous step. So I had to quit the program, but when I restarted the program, it did not pick up from where I left off. The AI helped me try a manual test, which then failed because apparently the chip in my 6 month old i7 computer isn't compatible with your machine. I then had to go online to find out how to use blue tooth instead - which eventually worked.

Great machine, difficult software

I would categorize this under functionality since the only way to use it is through Design Space which is HORRIBLE. I spent over an hour trying to get it to accept a SVG file, gave up and then tried PNG which at 300 dpi and vector, managed to come out pixelated. Also when I got it uploaded and maxed the size to the mat, it said I had to shrink it down or it would be pixelated. Even more?? This was all after initially connecting took a good 20 minutes it kept saying my internet connection wasn't stable. It is. I think if Cricut is going to charge that much for a machine that the software had better be on point.
