I loved my Maker 3. As much as I wanted this to be a seamless experience, my Maker 4 didn't cut through cardstock when it arrived. Cricut support was tedious to deal with (think looong chat wait times) and it took a long time for evaluation and, finally, replacement. The replacement works better, but honestly I feel like the faster cutting leads to incomplete cuts which means I have to deal with support again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had so much fun with this machine since I received it a couple of months ago! Originally purchased to help with our daughter's wedding, I have found so many other fun projects to make! Design Space is easy to navigate and learn and I'm looking forward to getting and using some of the other blades. Negatives would be that the bluetooth connectivity is not consistent with my Macbook Pro and I would like to see Cricut have choices for leather as I have ideas of things to make but cannot find the material I need to use.
I absolutely love my Cricut maker 4. The only reason I gave it one star less than perfect is that the Bluetooth signal is so easily interrupted by my Bluetooth mouse and the maker doesn’t stay connected, even though my laptop is literally 12 inches from the maker. It’s annoying, but not a deal breaker. So far, it has handled everything I have thrown at it with gusto! I’ve been able to cut all the fabric for the handbags I make so quickly and accurately. I absolutely love it.
There are a lot of errors like when im cutting chipboqrd it keeps stoping and keeps blinking the go button
