Great upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the same label maker since high school (which was 20 years ago) so it was time to grab a new one. This one is great quality and has some really cool border options and new fonts. It is the same size label and about the same size as my last one. It does take more batteries than my previous one.

I loved my old Brother P Touch and when it finally took it's last breathe, I decided to buy another Brother Label Maker. Love that this one has a clean easy to see keyboard. However, it does not include instructions on how to use it. I was able to download the manual from the internet. I love all the options it provides as well. My only complaint/suggestion is that the right side bottom arrow key be renamed ENTER because every time I use it, I have to re-learn how to get back to the main screen after making changes. That arrow is no specific. If that were changed, this would be a 10/10 product for me.

I like the different fonts and size of the letters, would appreciate it if the directions were a bit clearer on how to get better labels using different fonts. I'm a old man(78) need to learn how to use label maker for different projects. Are there any better directions on how to setup and use different fonts and background?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You need six triple AAA batteries. It is small so you can take it on the go.. It comes with one label tape. It has a lot of functions. It prints out fast.

Brother label maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to receive this so that I could organize my medicine cabinet in my kitchen with labels that were prettier than the handwritten dry-erase marker I did. This came with the label maker and a small label cartridge then 3 additional cartridges with different colored backgrounds. This label maker can be powered with 6 AAA batteries or a power cord, neither were included. That is a no-go for me. One of those should have been included, minimum. The next issue I encountered was I couldn't get it to work at all. It refused to power on no matter how many batteries I rotated through it. I then spent the next week trying every power cord I could find that would fit in the hole to get it to turn on. None of them worked. So I chalked it up to be defective and figured that would be my review. Finally, weeks later I tried one last time with some other batteries and it turned on. I have no idea what happened when it wasn't working or why it suddenly did. This is why not including a power cord is a deal-breaker for electronics. It took me a while to set it up but then finally I got it to work. I like that there are different fonts and sizes to use. I do not like that it took me forever to remove the plastic to reveal the adhesive on the label. I feel a bit dumb once my fingers felt the slit down the middle where it immediately came off. Oopsie. I feel like the sizing of the margin is excessive as well. It seems like that would make the label look messier and that you would go through the cartridges quickly. There's a button at the top that cuts the label once it's done printing and that is pretty useful.

Quality and design! Love the easy to print labels

I love how quickly it prints and how easy the labels are to peel and stick. Check out the final product on my plant label. Definitely a must-have for organizing my life.

It's so much nicer than using a marker for kid's items

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's so handy when you have elementary school-aged children that need their name on everything! I made some for their backpacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, and pencil cases, and it all stuck and so far has held. I only wish it lit up so I could see the screen better, but other than that, I would highly recommend it.
