Our previous shredded konked out after 20 years and some abuse. We have a Fellowes at work so I thought it might be a good option for the home and so far so good. It has good power, a bit smaller and lighter weight than our previous but all in all seems to be the right unit for our needs.
I had an aurora paper shredder for 15 years. It finally died. I decided to go with this product instead of another aurora. I have been decently impressed with this one. I would recommend to anyone with a small home office.
Pros: Jam Resistance, Mess Reduction, Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not worth the money

For being as expensive as this unit is, I would expect that there would be a bin to pull out and empty. Instead you have to lift the heavy top off and dump the canister. How the picture is, it looked like there was a canister to pull out like my old one that stopped working. I would not recommend this model.
Pros: Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs
Cons: Mess Reduction, Quality Construction, no removable canister, inconvenient emptying
