Solid option for a refillable tank printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get my hands on this Canon Maxify GX2020 printer to compare it to the Epson Eco Tank 3850 that I own. First thing I noticed is that the Canon has a touch screen that pivots and the Epson does not have either. They are comparable in size. The Canon feels less cheap. I liked that the print heads are easy to access with the Canon vs the Epson where you have to take things apart.
Printing - The Canon wins for quality and color matching hands down. In my photo you will see the Canon print on the left and the Epson on the right. The Canon print matches the computer colors. The Canon is less noisy. I would say both lack in the printing of pictures…adds grain. You don’t buy an eco tank or Canon Maxify for photos - you buy them to save on ink and print in masses. I teach childbirth Ed classes so these work great for that. I do notices some lines in my prints but that could be because the printer head needs cleaned.
My Epson is a beast when it comes to saving ink though. I have printed over 3400 pages and still have ink left and have never refilled. The tank did the Canon is much smaller than my Epson so I highly doubt that I would get the 3000 pages the ink promises. The refills are even smaller than the initial ink they give. My guess is I won’t be able to print as many pages but the quality will be better. I printed about 35 pages and can see a dip in my colors already. The Epson I had to print about 500 pages to notice a dip. Time will tell!
Setting up scanning on the Canon was a bit of a challenge. It doesn’t come with a manual, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to email myself a scan (it was throwing errors). I did hook up a usb connection to my computer and was able to scan that way. I still have yet to figure out scanning on my Epson - setup doesn’t direct you to download the software you need for it. Neither will allow you to scan and send via wifi to the computer.
All-in-all, I do think this is a quality upgrade from the Epson. Hoping the ink lasts 3000 prints like it promises.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great print quality. Fast. Relatively quiet(compared to my old HP printer).This printer seems to be pretty economical to use-time will tell. Filling these tanks is super easy! Has both an Ethernet connection, USB connection, and WiFi for great network flexibility. The documentation that came with the printer is adequate for a quick setup, but for fine tuning go to the Canon web site which is very well done!

It’s a Canon so it’s quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gx2020 is a powerful printer/copy/fax machine. It does everything I need and more. Great for my freelance work and my wife’s 9-5 needs. It is also a great somewhat compact size for all that it offers. Certainly recommend this if you need a printer.

Great for large print jobs at home

I love that the included ink cartridges have so much ink in them, allowing us to print a lot of pages before the need to restock our ink supply. The printer is high quality and sturdy. Great for a home office!

Great Printer/scanner

Super easy to set up and images are super sharp. Scanning images is easy also and then able to send as an attachment. The perfect addition to our home office and for the kids school work as needed!

Great quality of colors and easy to used. I give 4 star because when I try to install the wireless I have to do it several times. Great and fabulous work !

Very Compact

I am so happy and thrilled to be a part of this program I'm so happy that I was selected. This printer is awesome! It's very compact in size so it's easy to store and it's easy to fit right next to my desktop computer. I love the toner and the way that it is liquid and you can refill the cartridge without having to replace the entire thing. I think that all printers in the future should look into this option. The colors are vibrant it's easy to read it's easy to set up and it's very user friendly thank you so much for this printer and if you have not purchased it as of yet now is your cue to go and get one!
