Leak and break, they do not last 10 years.

Bought them about six years ago, and left them in my bedroom when I moved out for university. Thought they'd be fine because of the 10 year guarantee. Moved back recently and they have all leaked or broken. Don't pay the extra money for this brand, it's nothing special.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Corrosion and Leakage
on April 27, 2020

Duracell has always been my choice of battery to use. Unfortunately, in the last 6 months, I have had 2 unopened packages with an expiry date 2025, corrode. At first I thought it was how I stored them in the package. But that isn't the case. I'm keeping them in a cool, dry place. Then, a couple of batteries I just put in a remote a month ago, leaked and there was a white powdery dust inside the cover of my remote, with some kind of leakage down inside where the batteries were. Brand new batteries did this! These aren't small packs of batteries I am buying either. I'm going to a club and buying the large packs of batteries. Guess I'll be switching. I can't have unopened batteries corroding or new batteries leaking.

I've had more five devices in the last six months ruined when I found that the Coppertop AA's left inside leaked. I will not use these again.

I have just tried out AA batteries I have had in storage for about 12 months. Each one is dead. They have a monitor that you press on one side and it doesn't even register.

This past week I bought 2 9V Coppertop Duracell, but have been duds, put them on the tester - results - dead. Where can I find a best before date on these useless batteries?
