Duracells are leakers - Do not buy!

In the last 5 years, I've had numerous Duracell AA and AAA batteries leak and damage the contacts of the devices they were in.
All devices were in constant (clocks) or daily use when the leakage occurred. I used to buy Duracells because they never leaked (other brands often did) but that is no longer the case.
Now I buy the cheap batteries and change them once a year whether they need it or not. I'm also buying Lithium-Ion batteries for high-value products that I can't afford to have damages.

Batteries go bad in storage!

I buy the bulk back of batteries at a box stored, however, I find that some go bad before I can use them even though the date to use them buy is 2023! The store will not do anything about it, but this happens often enough that the batteries are becoming expensive. I am going to research batteries for another brand.

Near consistant leaking

Another double A battery leaked. This time the mess is worse. I cannot afford to use your batteries. I guess since only one of the two leaked, only fifty percent were leaking.

Leaks Battery Acid

I just opened my wireless Apple Mouse to change the batteries and discovered that the batteries had leaked significantly. I've never seen a battery leak this much and the batteries are still within the best before date. I also recently changed the Duracell batteries in my Keyless door lock and they had also leaked slightly. While I haven’t used the Apple mouse for several months this shouldn’t happen. I haven’t tried the mouse yet so hopefully it hasn’t been damaged by the excessive battery acid.

AAA,AA have high incidents of leakage

I'm a heavy user of AA AAA and 9 Volt batteries.
Until recently I've been a big fan of duracell batteries. They were the best.
There's been a very noticeable degradation in the build quality. The AA and AAA batteries are very susceptible to leakage & destruction of the devices that they are enclosed in. I'm looking into alternative sources of batteries. Duracell has passed it's prime.

Disappointing Performance

Duracell hearing aid batteries lasting barely 1 day and performance is unstable. We purchased a 32-pack of Duracell 312 hearing aid batteries on 1/5/2018. The best-by date is March 2021. I opened the package on 1/8/2018, and in 7 days I have gone through 5 batteries already.
My hearing aids are connected to my cell phone through a Bluetooth app which gives me various information including battery strength. These batteries come out of the package at 60%-80% strength. Some batteries are malfunctioning within minutes of insertion.
My audiologist warned me that store-bought batteries are mass produced and sit in warehouses for long periods of time resulting in greatly degredaded performance. He recommended I purchase my batteries through him; admittedly an obvious benefit to the audiologist. The audiologist supplied my first box of batteries [not Duracell brand], and those batteries had a life of approximately 5 days under heavy use.
When I purchased my latest package of Duracell batteries, I was very disappointed at the performance; both in longevity of battery and of various malfunctions, such as my hearing aids shutting off minutes after new battery insertion. In one example, one hearing aid shut off while I was busy and did not immediately replace it. Over an hour later, the hearing aid turned on without intervention.

NOT UP TO PAR

The Duracell AAA battery 16 pack that I bought does not last 1/4 as long as an energizer of equal value. I use them in my insulin pump and for whatever reason they just don"t last. # on package is 7216868101 date is march 2027.

Not Worth the Extra Cost

A 9V Coppertop Duracell battery touted to last 5 years and placed in my smoke alarm, was dead within a year. Supposedly good until 2020, dead in 2017.
