difficult to use software

I have been using the Dymo Label writer which works fine but the new software is atrocious, so difficult to use and understand, labels print with random size font after the size "auto" was chosen, I never had a problem with the previous version of the software, this version is lousy, please help.

Extremely Disappointed!!!!

The DYMO worked great until DYMO decided to "upgrade" the software, I kept the old software on my laptop even though it would automatically look for a software update, which I stopped manually. Then one day, my laptop acted up, and we had to reinstall the operating system on it, thus ruining my workaround for the DYMO modern software. Now that I have lost the old software, I cannot figure out how to create or import contacts. All our contacts have been lost. I would not suggest DYMO to anyone, unless you can tll me how to find the labels and correct the issue..

To resolve the error issue kindly follow the troubleshooting steps below:
1: Power Cycle: Remove the USB and Power Adapter from the printer and computer and then press the power button 15 times. 2: Clear Print Queue: Open the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printer > Right-click on the DYMO printer list > Open Print queue/ See what is printing and cancel all documents. 3: Remove Printer: Right-click on the DYMO printer list > Remove Device. 4: Restart Print Spooler: Open the Services App > Look for Print Spooler at the bottom of the page > Restart Spooler. 5: Remove Drivers: Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound> Devices and printer > Select any printer under the printer list > Print Server Properties > Remove > Remove drivers only.

Furthermore, to resolve the excessive feeding issue we recommend you clean the print head and roller by feeding a business card with alcohol on it in order to stop the excessive feeding that was the cause of the issue. Do not buy unless you just want to donate money

Wow, this label maker is shockingly bad, as is the Dymo Connect software. I only purchased this brand printer as I had inherited a stockpile of DYMO BRANDED labels from my predecessor. It can't read its own branded labels and won't let me manually add the type of label, rendering the printer useless. The software crashes constantly and the update took out my whole computer as well! I understand wanting to make extra money from your customers by forcing them to buy proprietary, overpriced labels, but the fact that I can't even use identical already purchased Dymo labels (that the product description said the printer used) is insulting and downright disrespectful. I am just disappointed that I have to give this printer at least one star just to post the review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every time you run out of labels you need to reset

label maker is great but every time you need to change labels it doesnt recognize that you have changed them. I also always defaults to a standard label size even if you only use a different label size. You have to say a pray each time you turn it on that it recognizes you have the right labels in there. Over all its a giant pain

Old model and software is much better.

This model and updated software is very difficult to use. Not user friendly at all. All of us in the office miss our old one. The software should be changed to be more like the old version. Need an 18 pt font option.

Pain getting it to read full roll

It's fine when it works but a huge hassle when you have to replace the roll of labels. It is easy enough to change out the roll however getting the label maker to acknowledge that it is changed is another thing. The point of the labels are so it knows how many is left, yet it doesn't detect being changed to a full roll.

Disconnect all cables from the LabelWriter, including the power and USB connections. Remove the label roll from the printer. Press the power button 15 times, then reconnect the cables and ensure the printer is powered on. Reinsert the label roll, ensuring it is properly seated with the labels feeding under the guides.
This should reset the device and help it recognize the full roll.
