Terrible printer

The 550 Turbo will only recognize certain label sizes, it gives me an error when I try using the DYMO brand 28mm x 89mm. It is so frustrating.

We would like to inform you that LabelWriter 5 series printers are compatible with all DYMO Labels manufactured after April 2020.

To determine if your labels are compatible with the LabelWriter 5 series, please check the packaging or the core of the labels. If the packaging is blue with two black dots next to the barcode or green with the recycling sign at the left bottom corner of the front part of the package, then the labels are compatible. Additionally, if there is a DYMO logo on the core of the labels, they are compatible with the LabelWriter 5 series.

If your labels are compatible, please power cycle the printer by removing the power, labels, and USB cable. Press the power button 15 times. Re-connect the power, insert the labels making sure they are aligned all the way to the left and the perforations are on your left side. Press the forward button to feed one label then connect the USB cable and try to print a label.

Furthermore, if the steps do not work, we recommend cleaning the printer sensors by following the step-by-step instructions on our Help Center. Then set your computer setting region to the United States and Uninstall and reinstall DYMO Connect Software version 1.4.3.

Does not recognize the inserted labels

Lots of problems with these labels. I am using the appropriate labels and the label writer often does not recognize them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If the labels are not being detected and they are authentic labels manufactured after April 2020. We recommend cleaning the sensors as they may be dirty and thus preventing the labels from being detected properly. there aren't any great features

i bought this dymo 450 twin turbo is a pain the neck. I can't tell you how many times it has failed to run i had to check the usb cord many times and the power cord.

Software does not work

Constant issues with this product. When swapping labels out to different sizes, the RFID chip doesn't read half the time. I'm using genuine labels but I have to throw away at least half the rolls. Margins don't work when printing from internet browser so I can never align the text. This product used to work well. My company has hundreds of these printers, I don't understand how Dymo can screw it up so badly.

Waste of money / Does not Work / Do not Buy

Waste of Money. The Dymo labels with RF chip are not recognized by my Labelwriter 550. I purchased two and neither are recognized by the printer.
Do not buy the these labels or the printer until DYMO works out the bugs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To resolve this issue, Please follow these steps to troubleshoot the printer:
1. If your labels are compatible, please power cycle the printer by first removing the power and USB cables from the printer.
2. Press the power button 15 times, and then reconnect the power. Ensure the printer power adapter is directly connected to an electrical wall socket and not to a power-saving device or power surge protector.
3. Insert the labels, making sure they are aligned to the left and the perforations are on the left side.
4. Press the forward button to feed one label, and then connect the USB cable.
5. Try to print a label.

Furthermore, if the steps do not work, we recommend cleaning the printer sensors by visiting help.dymo.com > Label Writer > How to clean my LabelWriter 5 series. Then set your computer setting region to the United States.
