I waited until I had this chair for a full two weeks before writing a review. Here it is: I work from home in I.T. where I’m in front of my computer 9+ hours a day 5 days a week. I’ve had a couple of neck surgeries and have other metal hardware in my body so I needed something that cushioned and didn’t leave me hurting more than when I started the day. I started out looking at the La-Z-Boy line thinking it would be the most comfortable and found them to be both uncomfortable and unsupportive. I’m a very picky chair person and literally spent about 90 minutes trying each chair out that was setup on display (there were about 40) at all different price levels. Most of the gaming chairs out there don’t have a flat seat and if you have wider hips you understand the need for a flat seat bottom of a chair. I am VERY happy with the Emerge Vortex gaming chair. It has a flat seat bottom lumbar support arms that flip up (and stay up) when not in use and high back support.
We bought this for our 14 year old daughter and she loves drawing and doing homework in it! She loves how the armrests can lift up out of the way when she needs to store it under her desk and how it can lean back while she’s doing remote learning through zoom! Overall totally worth the price for comfort and the versatility of storing!
This chair is a great option for comfortable sitting however there is no lumbar support so extended sitting for long periods( over 3 hours) can be uncomfortable. It is made well and looks wonderful. For the price it is an amazing buy.
After 2 months the seat and seat padding has broken down so that one cannot side straight it causes one to lean to left. When assembling I did not not everything lines out perfect with the pre drilled holes but did not expect this. I need to return this chair it is an ergonomic hazard.
