We previously purchased one of these in black/grey and it's fantastic - I can sit for a whole day without getting sore. However once we set up this one we noticed the seat was off balance making chair crooked. Clearly a manufacturing defect. Staples was good in allowing us to return and get a new one. However with an item this big that we had already spent time assembling it was a pain to return.

Broke on first sit

Whatever wood is inside bottom could be heard cracking upon sitting first time to "set" spindle into base. Chair practically broke immediately at base plate connection. I was going to ignore the scratches and loose threads. I am not a heavy guy i am well below weight specifications. I did not plop down hard or mistreat this chair in any way. This thing can barely support its own weight.
