I was looking for a decent desk chair that was comfortable and wouldn't be to expensive. After looking at numerous chairs and reviews I decided on the Vortex chair. While it is a gaming chair it didn't have the extreme looks of other gaming chairs which was something I was looking for. The assembly was very strait forward and simple. Having a second person to hold the back when attaching is helpful but can be done solo. It's pretty comfortable and decently solid for the price I paid which was $140. I don't see this being a chair that lasts for 5-10 years but with the limited amount I use it it's possible. It does not have the amount of adjustability as some of the other chairs I saw such as arm rest height and position but it was worth the reduced price for me. All in all I'm very happy with the chair for what I paid for it. If there are any major issues I'll update the review but for now I think it's a good chair for the price range.

The Emerge Gaming Chair from Staples is solid comfortable rolls easily and your back immediately feels better. The arm rests rotate up and back allowing closer positioning to desks or tables of various heights. There is no vertical member connecting the arm rest to the chair so even when the arm rests are down there is open space for leg movement wider than the width of the seat. And of course it looks great.
I've been needing a new chair but I'm super picky when it comes to choosing one. I'm glad I finally decided on this one because it is just what I was looking for. Super comfy and the arms adjust up so I can sit crosslegged on the chair!
It's a chair. It rolls. Enough said. The instructions could have been written better but easy enough to understand. Manufacturer even supplies the tool needed for assembly.
I was very excited to find this chair on sale when I purchased it in February. I wanted to give it time to get ‘broken in’ but it’s been a huge disappointment. Perhaps I have one that is defective but it’s very uncomfortable in the tailbone lower back area. I feel like I am sitting on a chair that is sloping downward the entire time. I’ve tried adjusting the settings the screws to see if I can balance it out but no luck. I went as far as buying a lumbar support cushion. I’m 5’11 210 so I am well below the weight capacity of this chair. After 5 months I’m finally giving up on it and will be looking to purchase a different chair. If you found this chair comfortable after purchasing consider yourself lucky and buy a lotto ticket ASAP. Don’t recommend not even to my worse enemy.
