Bought the chair for my 2 boys that are gaming gurus and they love it...said it's very comfortable for those long computer gaming battles.

The structural engineering is ATROCIOUS. Obvious errors were made. Wheels falling off!

This chair is an absolute ABOMINATION in terms of structural integrity!! Granted I am 6' and 230lbs in stature... But I have only had this chair for 7-9 months. (By my recollection which may be slightly off.) The bottom of the seat that meets the mounting bracket is already caving in around the square-shaped perimeter of the bracket. When you rock you can already feel the bracket sinking into the seat with the occasional sound of wood crackling as it weakens. (i.e. It WILL eventually break.) But not even that is the worst thing about this chair. The concave areas where the wheels are inserted is mostly open air and only has the occasional bridge between the peg hole and the outer radius of the wheel itself. In total there are only 5 bridges incrementing the OUTSIDE radius of the peg hole and the INSIDE radius of the wheel well itself. There should be SIX bridges to equalize pressure from the wheel peg when the chair is rolling... However for WHATEVER reason they commited an EGREGIOUS error in design and left a HUGE gap where the wheels point toward the center of the "star" that is the base of the chair. (i.e. No sixth bridge between the OUTER radius of the peg hole and the INSIDE radius of the wheel well.) This gap has allowed the wheel pegs to push the wall of the peg hole INWARD toward the center of the star. The plastic is CHEAP and just randomly gives as you're rolling the chair over the floor the wheel detaches from the base and the chair leans FORWARD. (I have nearly face-planted into the floor as a result. TWICE.) The wall of ALL FIVE peg holes have caved outward toward the center of the base in the span of only a few months. ALL FIVE WHEELS have bent inward and separated from the chair. I have called the local Staples location (store #0696) and spoken to them. They were NOT helpful - AT ALL. I used to work for Staples and when I did Staples would - WITHOUT EXCEPTION - stand behind ANY Staples product and either replace or refund the product without hesitation or discussion. Apparently Staples has lost confidence in their own product lines? NOW they want me to go through the rigmarole of steps and processes that I simply just DO NOT have time (OR patience) for. When I bought this chair I did so because my recollection of their guarantees put me at ease and generally Staples gear [was] solid quality. This all seems to have changed however. And as a result I have had to jerry rig the structure of the wheel peg holes in order to get the wheels to stay in place. I am a network engineer and have carefully hammered M6 cage nuts from network racks into these LARGE gaps where the wall of the peg holes now swings outward. This has only served as a bandaid. One of the wheels has just now pushed out YET AGAIN and found me suddenly leaning forward toward my desk where my midriff met the distinct horiztonal edge of my glass-panel desk. I am EXTREMELY displeased at the moment and thusly am now writing this review. I do NOT want this piece of poorly-engineered JUNK. Aside from being the stillborn product of TERRIBLE structural engineering it has also proven to be INCREDIBLy uncomfortable for long sessions at my desk. (Long hours doing work or gaming.) STAPLES: If you have ANY inclination to guarantee your product and to accept responsibility for this atrocity in design PLEASE reach out to me to fix this. Ideally I would simply return the chair - AS-IS - to the local store and receive the refund for the sale price at the time of purchase. (Which I'm afraid I do not recall. CC# and SKU should quickly locate the transaction.) Feel free to communicate with me using any method listed in my account. (Which I assume is accessible to you by way of this review.) I WILL consider looking at another product in the store as I DO need a chair. But for now I am inclined to shop elsewhere instead. (I did NOT take kindly to the unwilling demeanor of the young man whom I spoke with...and the manager whom he likely he spoke to for advisement.) I will be waiting. Otherwise before long I will simply TRASH this chair and wash my hands of your in-house products going forward.
We bought 2 of these chairs they are comfortable and sturdy. We love that the arm rests can be raised and the chair can fit under the desk. We are considering buying a third.
