Assembly was super easy - took about 20 minutes. Back and arms are nicely padded. Seat padding went flat after about 3 days. This may not happen if you're less than 180 lbs. Not really impressed but it's good enough.
This chair fits me well as a bigger guy and has better lower back support than the one I had been using. It’s comfy for long stretches. As a guitar player the flip up arms save me a lot of aggravation and have the added benefit of allowing the chair to slide all the way under the desk when I’m not using it. This frees up a good amount of space in the room and opens it up a bit.
Looked and felt great in the store. When I began to put the chairs together at home I began to see the poor workmanship and lack of quality. At first I thought perhaps it was the chair I got but I bought 2 of them and they both have common issues. Fitting holes not lining up and necessary to manhandle it to get things to fit. On top of that multiple scuffs scratches and nicks in the finish. The gloss paint finish also had rough mat patches where the paint clearly wasn't applied properly. Also be careful as where they stapled the fabric many of the staples were protruding and had sharp corners that would have caused injury if someone wasn't being careful. I was able to hammer them in and rid the chairs of sharp objects. Once the chairs were together still an Ok chair as long as you can overlook all the blemishes in the finish.
The chair was for my 11 year old son who loves it. The only problem was that all the screws did not go in easy. For the most part the chair is comfortable and light weight.
I can sit higher than other chairs I tried. Arms can be folded so you can sit closer to a desk if desired. Assembly instructions are easy to understand complete with wrench. Don’t tighten the arms until you have attached the back otherwise it’s difficult to slide rage back between the arms. Good value!
