I’ve been using the Govee RGBICW Smart Floor Lamp for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite additions to my home setup. The first thing that stands out is the lighting quality. The RGBIC technology creates smooth, vibrant color transitions, and the added warm and cool white tones make it just as useful for everyday lighting as it is for ambiance. Whether I want soft warm light for winding down or bold colors for music and movie nights, this lamp handles both beautifully. The music mode is especially fun and surprisingly accurate, reacting to sound without feeling gimmicky. Voice control through Google Assistant works reliably, which makes hands free control easy. It’s nice to just say lights on and the room is illuminated! It’s well built, versatile, and genuinely enhances the feel of a room. I would highly recommend it to anyone upgrading their lighting or building a smart home setup.
I chose the basic floor lamp over the otherw because I prefer the base of the lamp to be easier to hide behind furniture (the base of the other versions are rather large or are illuminated). I didn't need anything fancy, just a light I could turn on from the living room with my phone before reaching my bedroom at night. Because I can control the brightness and it's meant to face towards the wall, which softens the light, it's the perfect ambient brightness without being too harsh. As it's currently January, I have it (and all my other Govee lights) set to a bluish white to evoke the feelings of cold...despite living in the south of the U.S. and having had a very warm winter so far, lol. I've not played with all of its settings but as I have other Govee devices, I kind of already know what it can do. I would include photos, but my bedroom is a work in progress and my camera wouldn't do the light justice
