When everybody told me that a Vitamix was the way to go I thought they were name dropping. My boyfriend has a close friend who is a chef that reassured him it was not named dropping and that this brand was legit. 2 months later my boyfriend and I are still astounded on a weekly basis and how fantastic of a blender we received. We purchased the 5200 series and my boyfriend is gaining local renown for a macaroni and cheese that makes the sauce using nothing but the Vitamix. Absolutely a fantastic company and product, for anyone who's wondering if it's worth it the answer is yes.
