This is my 2nd Vitamix...the first one lasted me 10 years of superb performance! Easy to use, versatile controls will give me the texture I want, fast and super easy to clean! A little dish soap, turn it on and rinse! We use in our house for green and protein shakes...it is used at least 2-4 times daily...buy it it is the BEST you can get...I purchased the 5200 series for the second time!

I've wanted to own a Vitamix for 10 years, but felt like I couldn't "justify" the high purchase price. So, in the interim I've purchased the NutriBullet , the Cuisinart Blender, and various other "similar" mixers and quickly became disenchanted with them. Finally I treated myself to a Vitamix! And ... WOW ... It is definitely WORTH EVERY PENNY !! I'm having a blast with this thing, and living healthy at the same time. Had I not wasted my money on those other impostors, I could've had the Vitamix already. Don't skimp !! Buy the real thing. Buy the Vitamix !!

I bought this vitamix about a month ago so that we could start a blended, whole food diet with our g-tube fed daughter. I was going back and forth between this and a blendtec, and so glad I went with Vitamix! I have blended everything from almonds for almond milk, blueberries, flax seed, chia seed, raw carrot, dried fruit, and many other things that are notorious for not blending in other blenders. My standards have to be high since it has to be smooth enough to go through her tube and not get clogged. I strain before putting it through, and it is always so smooth! I rarely to get a little pulp which is still to be expected from almonds and raw carrot, but nothing that would ever get caught in her tube! I know it comes with a tamper, but I have yet to have to use it because it blends so easily! We are so grateful to have this machine. It has completely changed the way our daughter eats and we (as well as her health care providers) can tell a HUGE difference!

My son is tube fed and I have been through 2 other blenders that could not handle even raisin bran. Having this wonderful piece of machinery has allowed my son to get nutrition from so many foods that previously were off my list of foods I could get through his tube. No one could have made me realize what an amazing piece of machinery this blender truly is. If you are on the fence about spending this money, just do it. This machine will be around for years to come and won't let you down. It cleans so easily too.
