We bought ours in Malaysia and we've travelled to four other countries using 220/240 volt settings. It has always performed beautifully. We typically blend smoothies from a mix of liquid and frozen fruits and yogurts. Blending for 4-6 minutes means an extremely rich and smooth texture that makes even vegetable soups a thing of beauty. This turns out 5-star food whatever your skill in the kitchen. Also realise that you'll digest many more nutrients from blending with this product.

Honestly, the most important thing to me about getting a blender was just the prospect that it might make eating healthier easy. Vitamix definitely did that for me. The effectiveness, reliability, and ease of clean-up that the Vitamix brings to the table inspires me to eat healthy more often because of how quickly and effortlessly I can get it done. Without it, I'd eat a lot less whole foods. This alone makes it well worth the higher price tag.

My green smoothies come out perfect every time. I was making them daily in another single serve blender and thought about buying a Vitamix for over a year. So glad I finally did it. I purchased this unit about 6 weeks ago and I am so glad I finally took the plunge. yes it is one of the more expensive blenders I could have purchased but the quality and variety of uses is worth it! Plus the warranty and the free gift of produce/smoothie options that came with it from another company was sooooooo nice! I would purchase this item again, over and over!
