We started off with smaller, inexpensive products, but it just does not do the job like the Vitamix. It does exactly what it is to do, very quiet and the best quality out there. Money well spent....plus hubby is happy (bonus).

I bought my Vitamix 12 years ago and use it very often, usually twice a day. I'm not a big fan of kale or spinach unless it's covered with dressing, which kind of defeats the purpose of trying to eat healthy. However, the Vitamix makes it a breeze. Every day I make smoothies out of fruit, dark green vegetables, protein powder, nuts, flax seed. It seems that you can try anything. The Vitamix produces smoothies that are rich, filling, tasty, and hyper-nutritious. Conventional blenders are cheaper but don't do anywhere near the same level of liquifying these ingredients. I know that the machine is expensive, but it really does last, and I consider it the most important applicance I own (and that includes the microwave, oven, and dishwasher).
