We have had nothing but wonderfully delicious results!
Everything is thoroughly blended - ice, kale, carrots, etc completely smooth in our smoothies! The heating feature has been fun to use - make soups, hot chocolate and more!
We have used other decent blenders (with friends and family) but can see the difference, and are so happy that we chose to spend the extra $$ on this one for ourselves!

I'm actually pretty disappointed with my recent purchase compared to an older model I bought in 2013. Seems to me the quality and performance has gone down, yet the price has gone way up compared to when I bought my first Vitamix (which I loved). I should've just sent my old one in to be reconditioned instead of buying a new blender. This new one seems to struggle making basic smoothies - fresh/frozen fruit, yogurt, juice - and puts off a smell when in use. I loved my old Vitamix and it lasted many years so this is incredibly disheartening.

Hi! We are sorry to hear that your new product is not working as expected. Please reach out at 1-800-848-2649 so that we can assist you further. Also know that the behavior you are experiencing is completely normal for a newer machine. Although all motors are tested at the Vitamix production facility, heavy use will cause further curing of the motor windings. This curing gives off a burning smell and is typical for wound motors. This smell will quickly dissipate after a few more heavy uses.

We had the 5100 for 16 years and it finally was slowing down so we took it to the cabin and bought the 5200 for home. Use it almost everyday and it is true work horse. Greatest blender ever!!!

I've had this Vitamix for 18 years and have used it almost every day and it's worked great! Only now do I have to replace the drive socket and the pitcher. It's such a fantastic, durable blender!
