I bought my Vitamix 5200 back in 2011. Never had a problem with it, ever. It worked flawlessly for soups and veggie drinks and shredding my cheese, crushing my ice. even rough chopping my chicken and sausage when cooking (we like it small in our recipes). I was buying non vitamix blenders that I would get a few years out of. Low and behold, I went to a big box store, saw it, bought it, used it, and my husband said how much? I said it was 350..and he was like What the??? And I said you got your power tools, now I have mine...So we are in the market for a new one, ours has slowed down a bit, but my husband said, get the vitamix again. So I got the refurbished Explorian and hoping for same great results...

My daughter moved out and wanted a vitamix like mine. I decided instead I could get a new one of the color I liked and she could have the old one. Love it. I have 3 minor complaints. One is the lid. I hate the way it does on so I just sit it on top and hold it there. The other one is that the canister that comes with it is too tall to fit under cabinets and you can’t get it with shorter one so you have to buy it separately and it’s not cheap. Third, I wish canister was glass even though I know it would be heavy. But it’s a great blender and well made.

Strong motor and blades to puree food into liquid smoothies. No sophisticated options or electronic switches. Just variable speed and ultra high speed. This is the king of blenders when it comes to smoothies. I use it every day. Fruits and vegetables are the way to a healthy diet

just got the Vitamix 5200, and it already crushes everything—frozen fruit, ice, tough greens—into perfectly smooth blends every time. The build quality is tank-like, speed control is spot-on, and it cleans itself in seconds. Yeah, it’s pricey, but it’s worth every penny for how reliably it performs.
