I bought Vitamix as a Christmas gift for my spouse who has been making a lot of shakes. Needless to say, this machine is getting multiple uses in a day.
The machine is very sturdy. SInce it is a variable speed machine, once can finely control their blending speed. It is rather tall and does not fit under normal kitchen cabinets - something to know. But the length of container also gives it space to blend the liquids. It is very quiet compared to our previous blender and at lower speeds, it is mostly a deep throaty sound. On very high speeds, it can be heard around but still quieter than any other blender I have owned. Easy to clean. The quality is very good. And above all, the blending results are none to other.
Happy with the purchase. Will highly recommend it to anyone who uses blenders frequently.

The Vitamix 5200 is an outstanding blender. I converted to a whole plant based diet about a year ago and this blender is a game changer. I've made peanut butter and have used it for hummus and salad dressing. I still use my food processor for certain things, but as a blender to get a delicious nutrient rich health enhancing smoothie of flax seeds, whole fruits and veggies, turmeric and amla... this blender is worth every penny.

We like it a lot. Very glad we did the research and bought the one for us. I like the tall container. It is not noisy at all, I mean it’s a blender. Much quieter than our old blender. Crazy powerful.
