So this printer, for the price, is really handy to have. The red/black labels are nice, but keep in mind only one label size exists and it is rather expensive. But the good part, this printer works with the older black and white labels as well. Now the bad part, the included P-touch editor is bad, had to understand, and always take much longer to use than it should.
My only complaint doesn't sound big, except in my circumstances. The closest I can put it is about 3 feet away to the power button. Since this device turns itself off when I put the computer in sleep mode it turns itself off. It is very hard to reach the power button without an extension device, like a 2 foot long dowel. Is there any way to leave it on? My previous label printer (Seiko 450) lasted over 10 years and it stayed on 24-7.
I already had a QL-550 which I really like so I wanted an upgrade with the color printing option. I am pretty proficient on computers and printers but I have never been able to print in color so I do not use it I went back to my old QL-550. It does do a nice job on regular labels and is very well made as all Brothers printers. Good idea but only 3 stars since it's no more useful than the QL-550
