I'd been using a Garmin watch for years to monitor sleep. I wanted something independent of the watch, so I didn't miss out on data while the watch was charging overnight. The Index has been a pleasant upgrade. The cuff is comfortable and stays in place all night. Data is reliable and seems consistent. I haven't used the alarm function much, since I'm usually up before it goes off. Overall, highly recommend!
I had tried wearing a watch at night and absolutely hated it. This is extremely comfortable, you do not even know you have it on. There have been several mornings that I forgot I had it on and was walking around the house with it still on my arm. I only wish the battery lasted longer between charges. From what I read you should get about 7 days...I've gotten 5 at the most, usually 4.
After using this Garmin sleep monitor for a month, I found it to be inaccurate in providing information and difficult to use due to its poor app synchronization, making it hard to track sleep effectively. Additionally, the battery life is inadequate.
bought a few weeks ago and find that my Apple Watch is much more accurate. I planned on wearing the sleep arm band at night while charging my watch but find the results disappointing.
And re-pairing via BT is downright clunky and nearly impossible. Now I know I need to ”tap the device 15 to 20 times " to out into pairing mode. After Garmin says restart phone, restart app, uninstall app. Etc. Crazy. Just start with the tap method. It's all so exhausting.
And before we go there my epix pro gen 2 has zero issues staying connected
