Almost perfect

Band is not wide enough for my arm and ends up pinching off circulation if I tighten it up to prevent it from slipping off during activity and sleep as well.

I have no idea what it does

It appears to be collecting data but I have no idea what to do with the data it has collected.

Garmin Index Sleep Monitor

Got this to spare my wrist. Easy to use. Gives me better data than the wrist unit because I tend to toss and turn.

It's good, but not great.

I bought it about a month ago and have been using it consistently alongside other wearables that I've used for years to track my sleep. I find the comfort of this index more appealing compared to wrist-based wearables for sleep tracking. It does a decent job of recording my sleep when I am actually asleep. However, my biggest criticism is that it consistently fails to detect when I wake up during the night. I often wake up and read to help myself fall back asleep, but the index never recognizes this as being awake, whereas my other wearable always does. There is potential here, but I don't think it’s quite there yet.

Communication across multiple products.

Communication's across other garmin devices is much needed when analyzing sleep. I Should have investigated this before purchasing. Sleep metrics tied to specific workload metrics of the day is required to properly analyze the full picture of what is occurring and how to best make decisions going forward.

Comfortable but unreliable
on August 19, 2025

I’ve had mine a few weeks now, it’s comfortable to wear and when it works the data is as good as from my FR965. But it’s pretty unreliable when it comes to having the data apply to training status. Sometimes it works, sometimes it’ll claim there’s no sleep data or no HRV data. I’d hold off until they get the bugs sorted out.

A very comfortable alternative to wearing a watch
on August 19, 2025

I've been doing sleep tracking with my Garmin watches for a while now. This is somewhat uncomfortable especially since i have wrist problems. The sleep band is VERY comfortable, I don't even realize I'm wearing it. I think the accuracy is a little better, too.

It's great to finally has this one from garmin. It's a great addition to my health trackers. I'm not sure why the battery has a short life, I have to recharge it every 3-4 days, it's normal?
